It is generally possible to set this seed in programming languages in order to reproduce and check results that are based on RNG. If one knows the starting seed for a sequence of random numbers, it is then possible to reproduce this full sequence of "random numbers" resulting from this seed and everything become deterministic. On the note of non-deterministic, I know that all RNG in computing are actually pseudo-random in that they are generated through a random number seed. This more crude version of a full replay can be first implemented and be replaced with an accurate version of the replay at a later stage (if it can be done, that is). The worst case scenario one will see in the replay is some visual inaccuracies such as some bullets hit targets but does not result in any damage or damage being done by missed bullet. These are stored based on the results and timing during each player turn and just reapplied to each action in the replay irrespective whether a bullet hits or not. On the other hand, the results of the actions, such as damages done to mechs and buildings, are not re-simulated. ![]() The actions are still re-simulated by the physics engine, such as movements and bullet trajectories, but having these actions having no effect on the environment and mechs. Yes, I understand the non-deterministic nature of the physics engine, that's why I suggested doing the replay in a way where action and result is decoupled. ![]() This takes up memory and the more turns you save the more memory it takes to replay everything back. As such the devs basically are taking the state of the game almost every frame and saving it in memory. It basically plays out in real time and can't really be played back by feeding the inputs back into the system. If you've ever been in a strategic MP game and you get 'out of sync' with other players, what it means is that a bunch of players replayed the steps but for some reason your results are not the same as other players.įor this game the physics model isn't deterministic. I say 'should' because even in a theoretically deterministic model, you can have bugs, edge cases etc that can screw up the simulation. In a deterministic model you can basically queue up all the actions, and replay them and it 'should' replay everything exactly as it was intended. This will be way less memory intensive and I don't think many will take notice to the small discrepancies such as a few bullets not connecting yet are still doing damage in the replay. The result of each action, such as the damage done and hits taken, however are not re-simulated but updated according to what's stored in memory. On the topic of full mission replay, Is it possible to store just the orders and their results, such as the damage done to mechs and building each turn? If so then a full replay can be done in a semi-accurate way in that the actions of the units are re-simulated according to the orders they were given each turn. Originally posted by BigGreyWolf:Fantastic game, I am currently playing it through Epic store. I have already seen some of such comments in reponse to the question. ![]() Even your fans are going to use that as "proof" that BYG is "working on it and it will definitely be coming in a future update, so buy now!". If you are not ready to commit(to work on it or to give up on it permanently), then please don't tease us with such non-answers. I notice a lot of such "dodgy" answers to tough questions. It's important to clarify that point to avoid leading others on on false hope because "currently" seems to imply that there are plans to bring it in a future update. Even if the question is "is there?", it still behooves you to clarify as to whether there are plans in the works for it because that is the question that will invariably follow. So the PERTINENT question is - "Is full mission replay BEING WORKED ON for a FUTURE patch?". Yes, we know that CURRENTLY there's no full mission replay. ![]() The question is "will there be?" NOT "is there?". Pertaining to the "Will there be full mission replay?". The moon lander mission is the culmination of 12 years of engineering development and fundraising, an effort that included starts, stops, and wholesale changes in scope. Here’s a view of the sky show over Cape Canaveral as SpaceX’s Falcon 9 booster reignited its engines to propel itself back to the spaceport for landing. Once in orbit around the moon, ispace’s Hakuto-R lander will fire its main engine to autonomously descend to the lunar surface, targeting a landing in the northern hemisphere of the moon’s nearside. The Hakuto-R and Lunar Flashlight spacecraft launched on a course that will take them a million miles from Earth, well beyond the moon, on a long-duration but fuel-efficient low-energy transfer trajectory. Additional engine burns are scheduled throughout Hakuto-R’s four-and-a-half month journey from liftoff until it lands on the moon. Video from the Falcon 9’s on-board camera appeared to show ispace’s Hakuto-R spacecraft extended its four landing legs a few minutes after separation from the rocket, but ispace did not immediately verify whether mission controllers at the company’s Tokyo headquarters had established contact with the lander.Īssuming all is well with Hakuto-R, the lander will fire its main engine for its first post-launch maneuver about a day into the mission. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which led development of the Lunar Flashlight mission, quickly confirmed ground teams received the first signals from the moon-bound spacecraft. ![]() Six minutes later, SpaceX confirmed NASA’s Lunar Flashlight spacecraft had spring-ejected from a deployment mechanism on the upper stage. Live video from a camera on-board the rocket showed the moon lander separating from the Falcon 9. The Hakuto-R spacecraft, about the size of a compact car, deployed first from the rocket about 47 minutes into the mission. At T+plus 40 minutes, with the rocket soaring over Africa, the upper stage reignited for a nearly minute-long firing to propel the payloads on a trajectory to escape the grip of Earth’s gravity and head into deep space. The Falcon 9’s upper stage placed the Hakuto-R and Lunar Flashlight payloads into a low-altitude parking orbit less than eight minutes after liftoff. EST (0738 GMT) Sunday with the Hakuto-R moon lander for the Japanese company ispace. SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket at 2:38 a.m. The landing was the second time SpaceX has recovered a rocket onshore at Cape Canaveral in less than three days, following the launch and landing of a Falcon 9 booster Thursday on a mission carrying internet satellites into orbit for OneWeb. ![]() The reusable booster, designated B1073 and making its fifth flight to space, reversed course with a retro-rocket engine firing and flew back to Cape Canaveral for a successful touchdown at Landing Zone 2, one of SpaceX’s two seaside rocket recovery pads about 6 miles (10 kilometers) south of the Falcon 9’s launching stand. A few moments later, the booster stage broke free of the Falcon 9’s upper stage, which ignited a single engine to continue the climb into orbit. The launcher headed east over the Atlantic Ocean, surpassed the speed of sound in less than a minute, then shut down its first stage engines about 2 minutes and 13 seconds into the flight. Nine kerosene-fueled Merlin 1D engines delivering 1.7 million pounds of roaring thrust powered the Falcon 9 rocket high into the sky over Cape Canaveral. The launch Sunday occurred about 10 hours before the scheduled splashdown of NASA’s Orion crew capsule to wrap of a 25-day unpiloted test flight to the moon and back, and occurred on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 17 landing on the last visit of astronauts to the moon. Lunar Flashlight will fly to the moon on its own trajectory, eventually settling into an orbit that will repeatedly take the spacecraft as close as 9 miles (15 kilometers) from the moon’s south pole on the hunt for signs of water ice. The commercial Hakuto-R moon lander, developed by a Japanese company called ispace, will attempt to become the first privately-developed spacecraft to accomplish a soft landing on the lunar surface. ![]() 30 launch attempt, then returned the Falcon 9 to the pad for Sunday’s countdown. ![]() ![]() There are a lot of immature jokes in this show.I could see they were trying to go for a Pre-Teen/Teen approach at first, since Pre-Teens and Teens handle this stuff better usually. I personally am fine with this, as it set up a good plot that honestly didn't go anywhere in this show, as the rest of the episodes were light-hearted for the majority. They don't actually bring up the subject of death in this show however, and you can see they specifically try to avoid the words "kill" and "death." They just sort of rather use words "destroy" "defeat" and "make them not exist" sort of thing. But instead of many little Pokéballs, it's just one big container. As for their bodies, it isn't anything gory, it was sort of preserved like how Pokémon go into Pokéballs. There was a dark lore set up in the beginning of the series, essentially stating that there was a Pac-World War One that occured, and essentially as to get rid of the bad side, the good people had to go ahead and steal their bodies, and by that I mean like, they sort of seperated their actual spirit from their bodies, thus creating the ghosts. ![]() There are good and aspects of this show, and I'll explain the bad, and then the good. I'm going to be honest many people who make these reviews who feel it is either gosh darn horrible or absolutely good are either trying to be bias due to high expectations, or just don't really look into this well enough. While the latter generally creates more gripping power, this style of the extractor is limited to instances where the bolt or screw head is jutting out of the material enough to allow the tool to grip it. Some drill into the head and use reverse threads to bite into and grip the head while others grab the head by fitting over it. Gripping Powerĭifferent types of screw extractors use different strategies for gripping a stripped or rusted screw or bolt head. While a small kit with four or five extractor sizes is adequate for most, it makes sense for pros or DIYers to invest in a set that can cover a broad range of sizes. Other sets can remove tiny machine screws found in electronics, such as laptop computers with extractors as small as 0.0781 inches. Larger sets have extractors as large as 0.875 inches and are capable of removing large bolts on vehicles and industrial machines. Most sets include sizes ranging from 0.125 inches up to 0.625 inches. Screw heads come in a wide variety of sizes, so it’s important to pay attention to what sizes the screw extractor can accommodate. Attach the end to a 0.375-inch or 0.500-inch ratchet and turn counterclockwise to remove the bolt or screw. To use an extractor tool, place it over the head of the stud or bolt, then tighten the grip around it like a vice. Like extraction pliers, it only works with screws or bolts that are sticking out of the material. Stud and bolt extractor tool: This tool looks similar to the chuck of a power drill. This set of specialty pliers has teeth designed to grip firmly onto the head, allowing the user to remove the screw by attaching the pliers and turning them counterclockwise. Extraction pliers: Extraction pliers are a good option for damaged screws or bolts whose heads are protruding from the surface of the material. Some are double-sided, with a drill bit on one side and an extractor on the other. Many spiral screw extractor kits come with matching drill bits. The extractor has reverse threads that grip the screw as it rotates inside the hole counterclockwise. Spiral screw extractor: A spiral screw extractor removes screws or bolts by fitting them into a hole that’s been drilled into the fastener’s head with a drill bit. ![]() The threads typically have a spiral pattern that becomes tighter with force. ![]() These threads bite into the bolt head as the user turns the socket counterclockwise using a socket wrench.
